Never heard of that. What name is it under? Is it plant exchange.

Have you considered bare root storage for the smaller ones? I have 30+ 4'ers and they tuck neatly into a small corner of my garage.

Nancy, I'm in Austin had great luck last winter with the trash bag method of overwintering in my attached garage.

I used an old round plastic trash can with rags thrown in the bottom to insulate it from the cold garage floor. Then I put a plastic trash bag in there and put several large seedlings and well rooted trees in the bag and loosely tied up the bag.

The roots weren't bare, I just pulled the plumies up out of the ground or pots and shook most of the soil off. The plastic bag just kept the roots/soil from drying out completely.

All those plants bounced back fine and I had no tip damage on those particular ones even though it was a very cold winter and a few of the potted ones in the garage had bad cold damage.
