Minis in terra cotta window box?

kimcoco

I have never had a mini before, and just planted my first rose bushes this year (climbers - Don Juan and Sombreuil).

I just purchased a clay/terra cotta window box - it measures 18" length by 5" high and 5" depth. Pretty small, but the only thing that will fit on my ledge.

Is this large enough to grow a mini - I was thinking of a trailing/hanging basket mini?

I wanted something different for my planters next year, and I thought the minis were so pretty.

Any recommendations or advice for a newbie?

Thanks
