im thinking it might be a strange mutation of a morning glory and a climbing rose bush 0_o my parents told me the previus owners messed with plants and cross-pollinated them... so maybe its something like a mutation?

Sorry, there are no blue roses, tho there is a bluish purple rose with a yellow eye called Veilchenblau. And two different plant species cannot interbreed anymore than cats and dogs can, so it is not a cross of rose and morning glory. It may be a clematis, tho they do not have thorns; perhaps what you are seeing are not true thorns. There are several blue clematis. If you can post a photo, we can probably tell you what you have.

You say it has heart-shaped leaves, which true rose bushes do not have.

It must be a different kind of climbing plant with flowers that look like blue roses.

If the previous owners experimented with different kinds of plants, it might be something very unusual.

Blue flowers and heart-shaped leaves (leaflets) sounds like a hybrid clematis.

oh, thanks for the info! ill look into it! I havent been here for a while, and no my school doesnt have agriculture or horticulter classes, so its only me, the internet, and my seeds, IO dont even have the proper tools right now D :

Patrick, If the flowers are a funnel shaped bright or cornflower blue with heart shaped leaves and they climb, chances are good it is a morning glory, which grows with a vengeance and well could take over a pear tree. Photos could easily identify. Also, very easy to grow from seeds. j.song
