Yep. Cayenne on popcorn is a good use for cayenne powder. I like to use my OTHER powders in so many other recipes that I found little use for the cayenne. But, popcorn is a good way to use it up.

I messed with spiced popcorn for a while and a good recipe is:

Hazle nut or butter flavoured cooking spray and pepper powder.
Found spray at a commercial supply store.
BIG cans...last a long time.
I used the Butterless/plain microwave popcorn sprinkled with chile powder.
Cook the popcorn.
Spray a pot with a generous amount of cooking spray then toss in the popcorn.
Stir it around.
Then see if all the popcorn has the spray on it.
Most times you have to add more spray.
Toss in chile powder to taste.
Add salt if you want...Parmeson/Romono cheese works with it too.
With cheese it doesn't need salt.
Really good stuff.

Seems like everything is getting a sprinkle of cayenne now that I've dried it.. lol. I can't wait to try more varieties next year!!!

Another great use for cayenne pepper is on corn on the cob. I melt butter, agave syrup (or brn sugar), cayenne and some mexican cinnamon (ceylon). I pour that mixture over the corn on the cob, wrap it in foil and grill it. It's sweet and spicy and caramelizes beautifully. That cinnamon would be great on popcorn too.
