Please help ID yellow-gold rose (pic)

This lovely HT was planted in our garden by a previous owner before 1983 and it has been blooming faithfully in our warm Canary Island climate. It may be a European rose as there are not many North American roses seen in our garden centres. It doesn't have much scent.

I'll also include a photo of the leaves.

I'd be happy to hear any suggestions you might offer for an ID.

I have a rose called Bronze Star that resembles your rose. It came out in 2000, so it can't be your rose. I wonder if it's a cousin of it?

Thank you roselvr. Bronze Star is a real beauty but is a much deeper gold than this rose, which when fully open is a paler yellow. Here's another photo of the same rose taken in May 2003:

There is a distinct blush on the edges of the outer petals and as I mentioned it was planted in our garden earlier than the date that Bronze Star came out, probably sometime in the 1970s.

Joan what a coincidence! I was just looking last night through one of my rose books and when I saw Gold Medal I felt that it might just be the one. The shape of the flower and the colouring both fit! And as it was produced in 1982 that date also makes it strongly possible.

Looking at the HMF gallery I'm surprised at the variation in the colouring. Some look more like Sheila's Perfume or Peace. But I think this rose has finally been identified. Thanks for help.
