I'm thinking it might be Climbing Pink Don Juan ...but I must ask about the size of your mystery-rose's blooms (and scent). To guess their size I've tried to compare them with the width of the privacy fence's boards, to estimate their diameter. Using that comparison, the blooms seem to range from 2-&-1/2" to a maximum of 4" diameter. What is their actual size? And how much scent?

I should have said the bloom size, sorry! The fully opened bloom is running around 3". The scent is light: a friend at work says "citrusy". Maybe, but not heavy by any means. It color is a bright fuschia and as you can see in the last photo, the petals have light pink/white veining and on some petals, the underneath runs to a light pink/white as well.

CPDJ's color is difficult to capture accurately with a camera. But several of the photos at HelpMeFind seem to look a lot like your rose, I think. Let us know what YOU think.

The data on CPDJ says it has 6 - 14 petals. That seems to be wildly incorrect, as the photos at HelpMeFind show CPDJ having a lot more petals than that. But the data also says CPDJ's fragrance is strong (and mine's is moderate-to-strong) - but you said your rose's fragrance is "light." Well, fragrance-level can vary with weather-conditions and even time-of-day.

By the way, the "lighter petal-reverse color" is an important clue. My CPDJ has that. so, all things considered, I'm sticking with my guess of Climbing Pink Don Juan ...at least until we hear back from you. : )

I looked at Pink Don Juan. It is similar. As I recall, last year, we just got one bloom-fest from her, and I don't believe that the blooms were as big as we're seeing this year. Now, we have put up a privacy fence and that shielded her from the worst of the winter winds, so that may have made a difference. I see that Don Juan is a repeat bloomer...that doesn't fit.

Thanks for your help...any other guesses are welcome. My moss roses are getting ready to bloom and I'd love to know what they are. I will post those in a week or so.
