Supposed to be La Marne.....

This little shrub was given to me as a free gift from an Ebay seller. She said it was a La Marne, but from all of the photos I have seen of those this one doesn't look like that at all to me.

The buds start off pale pink, mature almost to white, and then go even further to almost a very light green. Heat seems to effect the color, and the hotter it is the more white and green the blooms are. Blooms are semi-double, have no noticeable scent, and each petal comes to a little point. Each bloom is about 2" in diameter. There are not a lot of thorns either.

Here's my La Marne. I got it at a little roadside place last year and that's what it was tagged. This was taken last week with Angelface.

I like it. It's been troublefree with lots of blooms. My plants are a little older and I do detect scent from time to time.

They do look very similar, and mine is a very young one from a cutting. Maybe it's a La Marne after all. I posted a photo on the regular forum and someone commented that it wasn't one, so I thought I would ask here.

I only have two La Marne and they are still in pots but they're covered in blooms and they do look just like the pics you posted....pinker when fresh, fading to white in the heat. Is yours wanting to be rather upright in growth? La Marne tends to do that.
