My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I planted this rose about 10 years ago but cannot remember it's name. It's a blooming machine all summer - leaves have a slight red veining in them. Blooms start out pink and fade to white - no scent that I can tell..
Probably "Eden". Bonica has less petals & smaller leaves. My Eden seems to have more petals and is more cupped w/ a deeper pink edge though. Best, barbie
It's not Bonica for sure. The buds don't look as full and tight as Eden. Eden blooms has a greenish tinge to the outer petals, which provides a bit of intrique. Take a picture of the flower bud or a half opened flower. These have an appearance so characteristic for Eden that it should be easy to tell.
I don't think it is either Eden or Bonica. Eden is huge, blooms are much more full, Bonica is a hedge that blooms in clusters. (I mean Bonica '82). Susan.
Just got home from work and looked at the buds - they do have a green tint.
The bush is about 3-1/2' tall - does not bloom in clusters -is early to bloom and must be very hardy because we have harsh winters (zone 5) and never have to prune back winter kill. It has a very, very slight scent, I think, LOL! I brought a bloom into the house and keep smelling - very, very faint...
Some of the blooms are "cabbagie" (is that a word?) looking but not all.
I checked the leaves on my Eden, and they are not nearly as "toothy" as your rose. The "teeth" on my Edens' leaves are rather small. I know that doesn't help much, but I think it rules out Eden.
The more I read, the more confused I am. I'm in the northern part of zone 5, almost 4. My rose is planted on the north side of the house/full sun and may be somewhat sheltered. I never have any die back from harsh winters -have gotten to -20 several times. It sounds like Eden can suffer in cold climates so maybe I don't have Eden.
It blooms all summer starting late spring - way before my floribundas. It never has less than 50 blooms on it and continues all summer until frost(end of October). It never gets BS or any other problems.
The flowers are not huge - only 3" and do have a green tint in bud stage. I'm pretty sure it is not a climber as the canes never get that long or arching.
