One possibility that comes to mind is "Sonia," a very popular (and pretty) rose.

Is it fragrant? Also how much sun is it getting? More sun might give you more rebloom. Can we see a picture of the leaves and thorns?

The color and form of Sonia certainly is right but the photos in HMF make it look more like a Grandiflora. Although, I think it said it can be HT, which mine is this type.

It is mildly frangrant, kind of fruity I'd say. It gets gets lots of sun from later morning to mid to late afternoon in the late Spring and Summer.

Petaloid, I've been looking through the HMF Sonia pictures and I think you got it right. I have nearly identical pictures of a bud and newly opened flower. The leaves look similar as well with the bit of serration and black edging to them. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

It sounds like you have good powers of observation -- it's vital to examine buds, blooms, leaves, stems and even thorns when trying to identify mystery roses.

Roses listed as" grandifloras" can bloom one-per-stem and" hybrid teas" can bloom in clusters. That classification is a bit arbitrary, in my opinion.

I used to grow Sonia long ago, and have a visual memory of the rose which fits your photo. I may be right or wrong, but at least you can call it Sonia for the time being :-)
