Rose identification.

Please don't ask me to explain the reason because I can't? For years I have had little or no interest in having roses of any shape, size or description in my garden, preferring instead to spend my time with shrubs and trees. For some reason three weeks ago I saw a rose for sale in B&Q and just had to have it. I eagerly took my new prize possession home, re-potted it and placed it on my patio along with my other cherished plants. Since then I have been back and purchased three others to join the first one.

My problem is I would now like to know what they are and I suspect that the descriptions on the B&Q labels are not correct. Is there any way I can find out what these roses are. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

The first one was labeled simply as "patio rose" and has no fragrance.

The second one was labeled "various roses" and is slightly fragrant.

The third one was labeled "fragrant roses" and has no fragrance.

It's really hard to guess from so little information. Usually big box stores carry mostly older varieties but not always so they could be almost anything. They all look like modern roses though, not old garden roses, probably hybrid teas or floribundas. The third one could possibly be Peace. Was there any other info on the tags? A grower or a code name or number?

Thank you for the replies. As an update to the third rose in my small collection which has now become a special in my life, the flower has now opened fully and is indeed fragrant. The rose has remained deep yellow in the centre and the outer petals start off yellow at the base turning to almost white as they reach the outer edge where they are edged in pale pink. I would really love to know the name of this rose.

I don't know about the others, but I'd say the third could possibly be Peace. That's a common one, and it looks very similar. Sorry I can't help more.
