Paint the lower part of the house where the row of windows are and the basement in grey or blue-grey. Paint the top with the single window in a lighter grey. Paint the trim in white like the windows. Add evergreen shrubs between the basement windows (3) one in the middle and one on either end of the windows. Plant some perrenials like daylilies or something else that you like in front of the shrubs.

Agreed to both options. Add more interest toward the stairs and paint bottom portion - also add
shrubs, florals to the baseline of the house to soften the hard edges.

Could you create a wrap-around porch to the front? Extend the roof forward and add an overhang between the two stories.

What about an arch/eyebrow trellis/awning across the front, in timber frame, then painted/stained to match the Tudor beams? Underneath you could add a bench, add some greenery and plants. Love the house, by the way. It is adorable. Sorry for the quality of the photo.

The front porch idea would make the house scale look more human and natural, and improve the street appeal, but first check what your front yard setback is, and how close the existing front is to it. It looks like this house is smack up against that invisable line.

Frank Lloyd Wright houses would be a good source of ideas. He often composed a bold symetrical front, and then entered up the side so as not to spoil it.. This house is of the same period.
Leave your side entry, its attractive.
FLR would add symetrical, cubic, geometrical forms assembling like foothills up the front, some creating planters or platforms for large pots, and locations for shrubs..This would soften the ground to building junction, conceal the blank wall thats been created by the raised principal floor, and integrate and "spread" the building into the landscape..He may platform the steps forward into this assemblage and play-off a little assymetry.
Pity about the 2 low windows. Are they essential? If so they could be behind low walls.

I think its nearly ok, just some symetrical shrubs against its flanks and a raised centrepiece in the garden stepping up from a back of pavement broken wall may do it.
