It was an Ernest Williams rose, with purple stamens; a single lavender mini. Unfortunatly his nursery is no longer extant so there is no way of legally buying this. I will have to resort to pathetic online begging for twigs. Does anyone have it? Really, I'll pay for plants if I can get them but this seems to have disappeared (despite the lasting popularity of Oriental Simplex, its sibling.)

Williams was a Texas gent and the rose came out in the mid-1980's.
