I would really love to obtain this rose for some virus rose rearch I am doing with a colleague. It has been reported to be particularly susceptible to Rose Streak Disease and in the past roses that people questioned had rose streak grafted a piece of their rose onto this variety and within a few weeks it would show symptoms if their rose was positive. My colleague found a new virus that appears to be associated with and may be the causal agent of rose streak disease. We would love to obtain Madame Butterfly to use in our experiments. We are having a difficult time finding a source for this old hybrid tea. Does anyone know of a source for it or is willing to trade something for some cuttings of it?
