I have send out a lot of packs of seeds to members on this list. I always ask for a shout out when they get them so I know. However, I hear back from only about 75% of them. I think many of them ask for seeds on a whim and don't even wind up using them, others forget who they requested the seeds from as they may just be shopping for free seeds and have seeds coming from various sources and just forget who is who. The majority do respond however and what I really like is for them to let me know later in the growing year how things turned out. I just love a picture of a plant grown from one of my seeds.
It would be nice if everyone replied that they received the seeds (and said thanks) but I suggest you just be glad when someone does. Otherwise, you should be very careful who you send them too because, like I said, you will find that a few just won't respond.

Thanking someone should be a common courtesy. I have received seeds from 3 people from whom I have never met. I was always greatful for this and my 1st priorty was to send an email to show my gratitude and thank them in hopes I can return the favor to them or pay it forward to a few others.

I just sent out 6 packs of seeds today (including to you, lexxluthor, you have brain strains and chocolate scorpions on the way). hopefully I get some kind of acknowledgement back. not necessarily a hand written thank you, just a "hey, it didn't get lost in the mail" would suffice.

Lori, I wouldn't worry about it much. Like Lex said, its just a common courtesy and some people just don't have it. And its getting worse as time goes by. How many times have you held a door open for someone and they looked at you like you were a door man? I will say this for the members here, almost everyone i have sent to have let me know they got them. By the way Lex, thanks for your patience, i am almost done drying, freezing, and canning peppers. So i will get some seeds sent out to you real soon. John
