I have been searching for a name for this Anisodontea (pictures below) since I bought the plant about 3 years ago in a local market near Sydney, labelled merely Anisodontea sp.
I tried it last year in the Name That Plant forum but no-one could help.
It's the fourth Anisodontea I have grown, the others being A. capensis (at least so labelled) and 2 hybrid cultivars, all shrubs of modest size. But this one is a giant, now about 4 metres high and 5 metres wide and bearing thousands of flowers right through winter and spring.
The flowers are larger than A. capensis, around 3 cm across, and paler pink. The leaves are heavily felted on both sides, giving them a very pale green hue.
Anyone have any ideas?
