I may well be wrong, but I think this may be available in the US with a different name, think 'Danielle's Dream' may not be valid now. In Australia it is known as S. leucantha 'Pink Velour'. Whatever it is, it has been a great disappointment in the UK...late flowering...and although pretty...not a worthy plant. But in CA and a Mediterranean (sp?) it may be better. Here it is a complete waste of space! Sorry!!!! Unless we have a hot summer, infrequent here, all forms of leucantha are disappointing.

We get some great bloom out of our S.leucantha forms here
the only one I have been dissapointed in has been "Santa Barbara" but being the species and Midnight are so showy.

I would like to see how thw pink form does here. Keep

two bloom cycles one in Spring the other in Fall.

envious?? Hey, speak for yourselves!... I lived not far from Britain just last year (northern Germany), and the climate was the worst thing going! *haha* ;-)

Funny that I decided to try this plant... because leucanthas are about the most ubiquitous (and therefore boring) thing in California landscapes. I don't know where she got it from... I have never seen the pink form here.

I will indeed keep you guys posted. I should get the cuttings tomorrow. I can make cuttings available in future if I am successful with these. I don't really think it's the right time of year for these cuttings (she is also in CA), as leucanthas have just stopped blooming in my garden... but we shall see.
