Try lower light. This may help
New leaves are brigter green then old which turn dull, that is why Chahinian photographed only young leaves. On young leaves you may see banding it fades as the leaf gets older. I also faded as I got older, so did my hair, older is not a pretty as the young. This is the best way I could explain the the respoonse to your question. Norma

And here I thought more light would of been needed to bring back the variegation, like clivias need..I am glad I asked to make sure and didn't just assume..

Since the beginning I was always told it fades because light levels are too low. Is there maybe a line between too low and too high for Sans?

I think sun possibly may bleach out the leaves, on the other hand I have a S. kirkii v. pulchra 'Copper Tone' that is variegated and with vertcal green lines as well, that needs some good light but not enough to bleach or burn the plant to bring out the green and copper colors that are in the leaves. I need to learn how to get the correct balance. Then I really will have something to brag about. So you see I am still learning and the longer I do so the longer I will be alive. Norma

What a good idea! I have a S. kirkii v. pulcher in a medium light spot. I never thought to move it to higher light to see how it'd color up. I may have to lend it a prime piece of real estate on one of my few & precious west windows & see what happens. Thanks for the great idea. (Mine's not the Copper Tone, which I did have a few yrs. ago & unfortunately lost, I forget how.)
