The siding shingles are cedar and are stained with Cabot Wood Toned Deck & Siding Stain in the color 'Weathered Grey". The roofing is cedar shake left natural color.

I'm renovating an historic home and replacing the cedar shake. My goal is to create the weathered gray look (light gray) much like this beautiful house. Did you use semi-transparent, semi-solid or solid stain on the shingles? I'm having the hardest time finding the right stain color and would be so grateful for your input.
