I am assuming the plant you have now is a Hahnii variety. There are many different Hahnii varieties - all under 8 inches or so that have different leaf patterns. Some have gold stripes or streaks in the leaves.. Keep your eyes peeled for something you like that is different in the home improvement stores.

Not necessarily smaller but I would go with S. Patens. Different looking but easy to grow. One of my faves.

My love for Hahnii has grown much since I started growing Sans. For me, it can be happy staying small or sometime easily trained in a smallish container such as a shallow try. I keep on the lookout for one that I don't already have so it can be added to my wee collection.

San. kirkii v pulchra 'Copper Tone' clumps, turns pink, bit need good bright indirect light. Short leaves. $12.00 to $18.00 depending if you don't buy it on eBay. Norma
