Irises don't need any fridge time. You can plant them now. The sooner they get a good root system, the sooner you'll have blooms. I've got some blooming now. Just remember not to plant them too deeply. Leave the top of the rhizome exposed.

I visited family in the Atlanta area last weekend. Sister took me to a grower's outlet that had literally thousands of tulips on sale for 50 cents a pot. I bought 4 pots, and brought them home between Savannah and Brunswick. They have been sitting in my front yard for a couple days, and some are already blooming. I don't know whether to transfer them to a decorative pot, or to incorporate them into the front yard somehow. Most importantly, I DO NOT WANT TO KILL THEM!
Any ideas or tips?

Dutchblue, I think you should put them in a pot and enjoy them. They will last longer if they are in a cooler place- maybe some shade in the afternoon and I wouldn't bother planting them in the ground, they are used as annuals here in zone 9--
