Writing from the UK, I am not sure what Faye Chapel is.
On looking, it seems to be a rather superb, large from of Salvia splendens, trialled by the University of Georgia, with purplish flowers. Do you have a picture?

Robin - I don't have a picture, but it looks a lot like a pineapple sage, but taller, leggier (at least mine is) and does have red flowers. It actually does look a little better, perhaps because of warmer weather. I knew it had been trialed by UGA and is supposed to be a "keeper," but, as I said, mine has not been doing much at all. Perhaps it's too early.

Maybe it is getting too much water?

I have had 3 plants of Faye Chapel for 4 years in central Florida.. Look at picture of it at Vincent Gardens, GA where I bought mine - which sure doesn't look as lush as their picture. Mine is leggy, but the humming birds still love it! It does take up a lot of space and doesn't like plumbago growing into it, probably likes its space.Today we had our first hard frost, harder than most throughout the winter and it looks bad. Depending how it goes, I may cut it way back and hope for the best. I have emailed Vincent gardens for care, but no response. I am planning on calling them this spring. I was just searching for care for these plants and did come across adding a bit of lime. Meanwhile I search on as I want the lush bushes pictured! Should I find something , will let you know.
