Salvia 'Hummingbird Red'

Is this variety annual or perennial? I received the seeds on the exchange and it's growing well for me, but I don't know whether to plant it in the ground in the fall or just be done with it? I'm in Zone 5. Tried doing a search for it and can't find it anywhere. :)

Do you know what species this is, or can you provide an image of both the flower and the foliage?

I've recently been doing a lot of reading about red salvias and I think they are all annuals up here where it gets so cold in winter.

but a picture would be ood for proper ID.
