I bought a big bouquet of Chinese Lanterns for a dried flower arrangement last fall. I'm getting ready to toss the arrangement now but wondered if the Chinese Lantern seed would still be viable. When it was fresh, the seed inside the "lantern" was a fleshy berry-now it a shriveled and dried. Will it sprout or is this a seed that should be planted fresh? Hope someone can enlighten me.
