Hi,

I would like to send my brother some seeds harvested from my oriental poppies [Patty's Plum variety].

Does anyone know of any issues I should be aware of in terms of sending these seeds through the mail from PA to WV, or across any state lines? My husband suggested that it would be just my luck for a drug-sniffing postal service dog to discover them and for me to get in trouble because of sending an apparent opiate drug through the mail.

Do I need special permission from the post office? Should I label the box with what is inside? Or is this not an issue at all? I'd like to hear from anyone who has insights.
