If you put everything in an envelope and shake hard at first then gently (tapping)...the seeds should settle to the bottom....

Then you can cut a small hole in the corner of the bottom of the envelope and pour the seeds out (might have to shake them out)....

I doubt that webkat5 has separated Emilia/tallsel flower seeds that way, which produces a seed-embedded matting.

You can pull apart little wads of that matting and plant them.

Seeds are easily separable from flower. Seeds are mature when flower's green part is rupturing; pick flower before much fuzz emerges (opportunity between the two states is rather short). Firm two-handed pinching (twist slightly) at the right place results in petals plus seed-tipped fuzzes clamped in one pincer. Next, other hand tosses flower base, and finger-brushes seeds off fuzzes.

When you intend to sew rather than to save the seeds, then my other technique works very well.
It is for when pod has opened beyond the point at which my above technique applies.
1) Collect whole things into any small rectangular tub (e.g. tofu).
2) When all is very dry, lightly moisten, preventing fuzz flight, and
remove just the easily separable large things (pod shells, etc).
3) Add water, agitate /vibrate, to suspend everything, and immediately distribute the suspension.
