They are both S.trifasciata the one with the yellow vertical stripes if S.trifasciata var. Laurentii. However the horzontial banding doesn't seem right according to the picture I'm looking at. On these I could just as easily be wrong. I did look it up, there are many with different names that have the same coloring, other may choose a different name. I am glad to stand corrected. Norma

Getting the names on some of these more common Sans. can be pretty tricky. In terms of care, the names & slight differences btwn them won't matter.

May I pls. ask why you'd want to plant all 3 the together? (I wouldn't combine them at least 'til you know they're all equally healthy). I think the pots they're in are just fine. The terra cotta colored pot MAY be a bit big for the plant, but there may be more in there than I can see.

Well, all three of the green potted ones were once the same plant. I just thought one big pot would be nicer looking than 3 little ones. Perhaps I should just share two of them with other members of my family. I'm sure there are some of them who would like to have our grandmother's plant.

The other one has a little baby on the side of the pot. I'll probably let it fill that pot.

I didn't figure they'd have different care requirements. I was just curious. Until recently I hadn't paid any attention to latin names but recently I've had fun learning all the "real" names of my plants. :-)
