Harvesting Gomphocarpus (Hairy Balls Plant)

I thought of some more exciting titles, but thought I might get myself booted. This was my first time growing Gomphocarpus. I am assuming that the seeds are inside of the hairy seed pods? Anyone have any experience with this plant? I really like it, so would like to grow it again next year.

Hi,
I just had to google images of this plant because of the name! LOL. It does make some big hairy balls! Seriously, I did see photos of the seed pods opening up and the fluffy seeds comijng out just like regular milkweed. So I assume that you harvest them right then : )

As soon as the "balls" are dry and papery the seed is ripe. Be carefull when you open the pod because they may float away. You only have to save the little brown seed, not the white fluff.
