A hybrid won't come back true from saved seed. And I believe that your seller knows that and is counting on the buyers not knowing. He doesn't really care if you get tomatoes as long as he makes a buck off you. Sad to say, but I have given up on e-Bay due to such unscrupulous sellers. In the past year, I have not had a single good purchase from any seller and then I get the runaround from them and from E-Bay. So from now on my money goes only to people I know and trust and merchandise I can hold in my hand before buying. Too bad too, because I know there are honest dealers, but for those of us buying, there's really just no way to be sure. Cheryl

You can have great luck with seeds like heirlooms right here trading on GardenWeb. People offer great seeds with great germination rates. Once in a blue moon you could be disappointed, but most trades are great.
On the Seed Exchange Forum, and other exchanges, you will see offers of SASBEs which are people offering up extras of their seeds for postage and a bubble envelope.
You can also put together your own seed tradelist and offer what you have for what you want. It is easy to do. I started by going through my commercial pkgs. looking for what ones had enough to offer a trade, and through my yard, collection seeds off of a few of my plants.
