Salvia munzii

I have three S. munzii plants growing in different spots. They are two (maybe three, I'm losing track, LOL) years old. All get morning shade and then afternoon sun. The best-looking one is in a clay bed with several inches of organic matter on top (a "lasagna bed"). S. munzii foliage has a wonderful scent that to my nose is sweet and herby.

The down side is that it doesn't bloom much, just a few blooms here and there, now and then. It's a keeper for the foliage and scent alone, but is there a trick to getting it to bloom more? It probably likes leaner soils and more sun, but it seems to be happy and even survived our very heavy and long rainy season last winter without any hint of problems.
