Yes, the seeds are attached to fluff (sharp little seeds that always poke me in the hand when collecting). You can remove the fluff or not to sow, doesn't matter. The fluff tells you that the seed is ripe and ready to fly.

They like Nebraska a lot and Winter Sow great. They re-seed in my yard pretty well too.
