They should look like smooth, shiny dark B-B's that are either oblong or round.

I found it interesting reading since the seeds I winter sowed last year were a gift from a lady I met while on vacation to Barbados at least six years ago!! I did not know anything about gardening (and definitely wintersowing) then, but she gave them to me, I still had them and I thougt I would try them. To my surprise, 2 out of 3 germinated. They were growing in her garden, but I did not know they were a 'wild flower' and the jewellery aspect is interesting. I guess the shrivelled ones I have were picked too early. I will discard them. Can someone help me? I have lots of Canna Lilys. Green leaves and black. When I planted mine, I planted tubers when I planted mine. I was wondering how I get seeds from these blooming Canna lilys. I would like to be able to give some to my friends without having to dig up the entire flower to get to the tuber. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get the seeds off of them and how to preparethe seeds to plant and how to plant the seeds to grow more canna lilys.
