Best bagging fabric?

I looked around and didn't really see an answer to this. Sorry if this has been discussed before and I just missed it.

What's the best fabric for bagging? I'd like to save seed for tomatoes, peppers, and squashes next year and I've seen people say muslin, tulle, and organza, as well as filter fabric which I'm guessing is fabric of some sort for furnace or perhaps aquariums? I've also seen paint strainer bags recommended.

Also, does the color of the fabric make a difference? I have scrap fabric of some of these materials that I could make bags with, but some is light or unbleached like the muslin, but some is rather dark like black tulle.
