Dicentra bleeding heart planted among roots--question

I'm developing a bit of a shade garden this year in a previously wild area of the yard. The soil is quite rooty because of the trees, and I just tried to plant a dicentra there but had to kind of "cheat" it in and it's not planted nearly to perfection--a bit of it is stuck above the dirt. I added some dirt and some rocks around it to try and compensate but I'm wondering: is dicentra hearty enough to stand this treatment? Should I move it?

I've got different dicentra all over the garden. Which one are we talking about? Fern leaf or traditional? I've had no issues with the traditional - I just pick em up and shove them into various spots around the garden....The fern leaf for me at least have been more tricky

It is a traditional--I adore the fern leaf, but this was a gift. So, you think I'm alright?

I guess it depends on the trees around it....I really haven`t had to `cram`them in though. We`re surrounded by mature elm, maples and ash and ours seem to do okay.
