How does 16 pounds convert to cubic feet? I've been getting mine from a wholesale warehouse in Piscataway for about $15 for 4 cuft. Trying to determine if Nischwitz is a better deal.

Sorry it took so long getting back to you, we had a medical emergency in the family. The bag of vermiculite I have is a little less than 4 cubic feet. I think you get a better deal where you go. Where in Piscataway is this wholesale warehouse? Can anyone go there? It would be much closer to go there than all the way to So. Plfd.

WH Milikowski in Piscataway. Their contact info is in the above link. Yeah, anybody can go there and they'll write up a sale. I've bought 4 bags there each of the last two years. Price went up a couple bucks from last year ($13.15 to $15.25 for 4cuft bag), but still a good deal. But call first, so you don't go out there and find they're between shipments.

In New Jersey, Ferris Farms Agway in East Brunswick, NJ carries coarse vermiculite in 4 cubic foot bags for $19.99 as of 1/30/2011.
