We live in Pueblo West, CO. Hot and dry during the summer, prairie land. We would like to plant 2 shade trees that will give us privacy from a neighbor's yard (so faster growing if possible).
We have been looking at a Hybrid Poplar and some of the Honeylocusts. The problem is that we will only be able to do about 10-12' spacing between the trees. Any suggestions for this area? Would like to avoid flowering if possible as it borders a concrete pad. Which also helps us rule out the roots of maple trees.
