If you do this, do not use it as a foliar spay and irrigate the tea a couple inches away from the plants directly. Manure teas are not as safe to use as compost teas because there will be a lot of non-beneficial bacterias present.

Compost teas - I mix up a batch once a month during the summer makes a great organic wonderall solution that be applied to the soil or (diluted in half again) applied directly as a foliar spray . Great nutrients, tends to kills bacterial and fungal infections, reduces aphid infestations

I agree with arjo, but, I have never used anything other than homemade compost for fertilizer-I have not had a need to...

sbibb--I did use Mels mix. 1/3 blended compost, 1/3 pelt moss, and 1/3 vermiculite.
