Lynn, Ebb Tide and Twilight Zone start out as very deep purple, about the same color, in the spring. As it heats up, Ebb Tide starts fading to some really unattractive pale tones, some almost dirty white. Twilight Zone doesn't seem to fade at all. In the heat, they are a little lighter and more magenta to start with. In the fall, they both return to dark purple. For me, Ebb Tide blooms more than Twilight Zone, but my ETs are mature roses. I've been a little disappointed in the rebloom of TZ but it' still immature. The scent of ET is very lovely and pronounced, and while TZ has a nice scent, it's a much milder, less sweet smell. TZ has the upright growth of a grandiflora, while ET is more spreading as a floribunda. So, for me, each rose has its strong points. Here's a photo of TZ in June, I believe. Diane

Your discussion on this topic is very helpful , thanks for the good advice, since I too purchaced 1 of ebb tide and one twilight zone, I need to know which will grow better next to a livin easy rose shrub. Any more advice is appreciated!

I purchased both roses (TZ and ET) and previously owned Livin Easy. Just in terms of size, Twilight Zone should be closer to that of Livin Easy. Ebb Tide in my garden was the shorter of the two. Hope this helps.

Hi, could not help but chime in. I love TZ. This is a bouquet I just picked in hot 90 degree weather in central Alabama zone 7b. This is a great rose for me. It holds its beautiful color and has given me two great flushes so far. This is the 2nd year I have had this bush.

Oh, btw my bush is next to Easy Does It.
