I think he or she, is talking bananas. Mine were over 14 feet tall this past year. I am in zone seven, not sure about A or B. 65 miles north of Memphis.

I have four up now. Three are about six inches high. They seem to grow pretty fast.

I'm pretty sure that a couple of doses of penicillin will take care of that!

Actually they arenÂt as hardy as the Basjoo but the leaves are kind cool looking. They are darker green with some pink/red color to them like a Zebrina. They are supposed to grow faster and become bigger than the Basjoo too. They are a Himalayan Banana so they should be more cold hardy than a Basjoo and they can be grown from seed which you canÂt get away with on the Basjoo. BUTÂwe donÂt have one so I really have no idea other than what IÂve read about them.
