Viburnum trilobum can definitely be grown in Tennessee. It would probably do better, in most parts of Tennessee, if planted in an area that gets above average moisture (but has well draining soil), has partial afternoon shade, or both.

I would definitely try it even if you don't have ideal conditions. Supplemental watering during the hottest driest times of summer could help.
