I am assuming you are refering to Phlox subulata. If cut back right after the initial bloom period, you might get a few latent blooms, but I don't think you will get any reblooming. It is however, advisable to cut this plant back by about a third to a half after the annual blooming period to promote vigorous new growth and rejuvenate the old woody parts of the plant that might otherwise deteriorate.
