Last year I added some different coneflowers - I think those are kinda native? They are looking healthy so far. I wish I had more room.

Done it all my life. I grew up in the country and have been bringing native plants into the garden pretty much since I was old enough to work a shovel. My mom has several (now large) dogwoods and ferns and such that my dad brought home to her many years ago. Stuff you just can't buy anywhere.

Right now I have some ferns, bluebells, trillium, Jacob's ladder, butterfly weed, milkweed, Indian pinks, fire pinks and a few other things that were "tamed" for home garden use.

I think I live in the wrong zone. Most of my plants are tropicals. I think I need to invest in more zone friendly plants then maybe when it is cold outside I can get my car in the garage.
