That's awesome...my daughter (be 4 in September) helps me all the time. She helped me pot up some stuff. I let her put potting mix in container after I've secured the plant in it well. She also helps me water them lots. Now, my 21 month old is rarely allowed on the porch. He's liable to go grab any plant he sees and throw it...lol...He also likes to grab my broom, bamboo & 6 ft plastic plant stakes and try to hit stuff with them. =)

I don't have kids, but at our other house it seemed whoever was living in the house next door (they changed several times) always did. :) I had several little garden helpers over the years.

The last one, Madison, really stole my heart. I remember one day her coming over early in the morning: "Whatcha doin??'" I was digging out violets. She helped me all morning...finally I realized I was going to have to eat, so I told her I was going in for lunch. She said she would too.

I ate my lunch and was sitting on the couch relaxing when she knocked on the front door. "Are you ready to go back to work?" LOL! No, not really, but if you insist!

I have two girls 11 and 12 and they are huge helps in the garden. Olivia, the youngest, has two green bean plants she planted that she wants to take to the MTPS tomorrow. I love sharing the gardens with them!
