Or at least we think they are native.

Sis and I found these while out driving around last weekend. The first one is obviously Asclepias but we'd like to get a species name if anyone knows it. It was very solitary. We found two but they were miles apart.

The second is a small branch off a tree. Can anyone ID it from these pics?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
