what is going on with my tomatoes?

Hi,

I have a problem with my tomatoes. First let me tell you what I know and then I'll include a couple photos so you can see what I am seeing.

First of all we had terrible white flies on them from the time they were young.

I used every natural means of trying to get rid of the white flies, and I kinda sorta controlled them but they are still present and I suspect they are the problem, but I want to be sure.

I used a solution of neem oil and water and soap to spray them, and later that didn't work so well so I tried water and powdered cayenne pepper.

The tomatoes' leaves look dry and many turned yellow and I cut them off.

Now the tomatoes are growing but many (most it seems) are developing big spots on them, damaged from something - white flies?

Our patio tomatoes - in the same 16" - 20" pots were delicious last year! This year we seem to be having major problems...

If you added some scary music to your link you might have a horror movie on your hands. Sorry to say that it doesn't look good. The link below has California diseases and pictures. The two tomatoes on the right look to have BER but the one the left looks bacterial.

The only other thing may be herbicidal spray. Anyone shoot any roundup around your plants?

Thanks for posting your info.
Ironically none of the photos and links in the web sites given seem to mirror the problems I am having. I'd just like to know what it is for sure so MAYBE we can avoid it with the next crop.

Maybe there is a Sticky or something on this, I will look, but for patio gardening, is there a good all-around tomatoe food/fertilizer that might work well for us to avoid these problems in the future?

Last year we used a red bottle of stuff that was Tomatoe Food and still had similar problems though not as bad, and my Dad said he thought the problems were from giving them TOO MUCH food, although we followed the directions on the bottle. We still had a pretty good crop last year but we still had problems with leaves drying up etc.

This year we've been plagued by whiteflies and have tried everything except poison to get rid of them, to no avail.
