The white protrusions in the top photo are wanna-be roots. The blackening on the bottom of the fruit in second photo is blossom end rot. The latter is probably discussed in the the FAQ'S

No, and I answered that question in the other Forum, not knowing that you had double posted.

And no, it isn't a lack of calcium it's not a lack of absorption thru the roots, in all but two special cases, it's a lack of proper distribution in the plant.

Plants that haved fruits that have BER have plenty of Ca++ in the tissues.

And the proper term for what others have told you are pre roots, are root primordia, completely normal/
