I found some tomato-like berries on the tops of my potato vines, right where they had bloomed. After researching what these little things were, I find that they are called the true sexual seed of the potato. The tiny seeds inside the berries are less likely to carry diseases than seed potatoes. These fruits are the results from crosses between two plants. I am growing both Kennebec and Yukon Gold.

How to I harvest the seeds and how and when do I try to grow potato plants from these seeds? Attached is a picture of the little fruits next to a nickel, so that you can see relative size. A couple have already turned a tan color. When I first saw them, they were green.
