and you all know what? i have these old fashioned petunia's i got in a trade, they're vining, and have veigns, well they were supposed to have a smell, all summer long i never smelled anything, we brought it in and i;m smelling this smell, quite good actually, so i'm sniffing around the house, because its not in one place. well........i finally end up smelling the petunia's....BINGO!!! they smell kinda like the hyacinth but not nearly as strong and really good!! so i'm definately keeping seeds from these babies and gonna try to see if i can grow them in the house!! i LOVE LOVE fragrance!! if ya'll want seeds, just let me know, i'll send ya some they're just pretty!! so i'm guessing they're a night smeller!! ~Medo

Aww, EG...I hope you feel better soon (Granny kisses to make it better). I'm sweltering in this heat, in the 90s today, unpacking and getting stuff set up it was miserable. And I'm so tired. Maybe we'll both feel better tomorrow. The only place I can get a WIFI signal is in the front bedroom, so I have the laptop on the bed and I'm kneeling on the floor next to the bed...not real comfy, but I have the fan blowing directly on me so I'm cool now. Mr. H hates air conditioners, so I try to bear it as long as it's under 100F.

I am trying to catch up from my recent trip to the hospital again with Hannah. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

She is doing SO much better and so am I, actually! I have my sweetpea feeling as good as possible right now, and I have a clean house for like the first time in a year or what have you. I'm feeling manic if that's the opposite side of manic/depressive. hahahahahahaha (I meant that in a good way, feeling happy, not depressed, in case anyone didn't get what I meant by that. LOL)

Angela, dear Angela! I sure did miss you! So happy to hear Hannah and you are both doing well.

I'm trying to get a fence built for the puppies, and this morning Mr. H says he just can't do it :-( We still have two more post holes to dig out, plus about seven more T-posts to pound in. I might be able to do the post holes a little at a time, but no way can I hoist that sledge hammer to pound 6' T-posts two feet into this solid ground. I wish we hadn't even started this project. Now I'm feeling manic depressive!

Weather is beautiful here now. Last week it was too hot, but this week it's perfect. I don't think there is any way I'll get a garden built though. It's too far to go for the compost and such, and the fence project is taking much more time than I'd planned.

(((HUGS))) I missed you so much, too! I'm glad you are getting a fence, Granny, but I'd be freaking out if I didn't have a garden. I'm already dreading the first frost which is trying to come earlier than usual and definitely earlier than I would like! I can see that I'm going to be out there building myself a greenhouse. It actually sounds fun!

So, ask Mr. H when he can do the fence since he can't do it today. I've learned that when my Tweetie Bird can't get to something I need done, I now tend to ask WHEN might he be able to. ;-) It sure keeps things from being procrastinated around here... LOL

Orange Push-Up Cheesecake

The best ice cream treat I can remember from childhood is those orange push-ups, so I just had to invent a dessert that recall the scrumptious taste beloved by all kids-- and the men they grew up to be! This tastes amazingly like the dream dessert your remember.

Serves 8

2 (8-ounce) package Philadelphia fat-free cream cheese
1 (4-serving) package JELL-O sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (4-serving) package JELL-O sugar-free orange gelatin
2/3 cup Carnation Nonfat Dry Milk Powder
1 Cup unsweetened orange juice
3/4 cup Cool Whip Lite*
1 (6-ounce) Keebler shortbread piecrust
2 tablespoons flaked coconut

In a large bowl, stir cream cheese with a spoon until soft. Add dry pudding mix, dry gelatin, dry milk powder, and orange juice. Mix well using a wire whisk. Blend in 1/4 cup Cool Whip Lite. Spread mixture evenly into piecrust. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut into 8 servings. Top each serving with 1 tablespoon Cool Whip Lite and 1 teaspoon coconut.

Each serving equals:
HE: 1/2 Bread, 1/2 Protein, 1///4 Skim Milk, 1/4 Fruit, 3/4 Sliver, 11 Optional Calories
