We actually took this picture before the final decision and installation for the tub/shower enclosure. The owner was still weighing their option between a shower curtain and a 'frameless' shower door system. Unfortunately the available frameless systems are still ugly and have not developed a completely frameless solution. Compounding the problem with this particular tub is its longer length which makes for fewer available 'frameless' options because of the longer span. Basically it boils down to either you do a fixed panel and swinging door combination (which I think is cumbersome), or you do a sliding system. With the sliding system you end up with a somewhat beefy top track that carries the load of the entire enclosure. The longer the span the beefier the top track need to be and finding one that will work for the longer span quickly becomes difficult.
