Ok, the first few tomatoes that started turning red got blossom end rot.

This was the first one that seemed ok. It started turning red a few weeks ago. It has been bright red for at least a week, maybe 2. It stayed small while the others on it's cluster got bigger. Then the other ones on the cluster started turning red, and are almost this color.

I decided to have my first harvest dinner today.

I don't know how to tell if things are ripe, but I didn't want it setting seed and ruining the rest of the plant.

When I cut open the tomato, I saw this icky green area in the bottom of it. It looked dry, but I wasn't about to look closely, so I just threw it out.

The plant has been treated fairly roughly. Heavy rain dumped over the upstairs balcony, then drought as I tried to figure out how much it needed to dry.

Plus a couple times when it got knocked over when I was draining overflow, or getting another staking system in place.

Roma (didn't say anything else on the nursery tag) got to about 4 feet tall before it stopped growing.
