I saved seeds from my Black cherry plant last season, I have been searching the seed sights and havn't found any description. Is this a hybrid.

Black Cherry was bred by Vince Sapp, now deceased, who with his wife Linda, co-owned Tomato Growers Supply. And if you go to that excellent seed source, tomatogrowers.com, you'll see the writeup about Black Cherry.

Note that if a variety is a hybrid almost all of the time it will say F1 next to the variety name F1, such as Sungold F1, Celebrity F1, etc.

I've been scratching my head over Black Cherries. My seed packet from Peaceful Valley says "F1 Hybrid". Is this a mistake?

Yes,it's a huge mistake and it surpises me that Peaceful Valley would make such a mistake since Black Cherry, bred by VInce Sapp has long been known as being OP.
